Governor Inuwa Yahaya Commiserates Federal University Kashere VC, Prof Pate Over Mother's Demise




Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has commiserated  the Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Kashere, Prof. Umaru Pate over the demise of his mother, Hajiya Zainab Pate, who passed away in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, on Wednesday at the age of 80.


A statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, said that Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late Hajiya Zainab Pate as an upright mother and family pillar whose life was marked by kindness and wisdom.


The governor conveyed the sympathies of the government and people of Gombe State to Prof. Umaru Pate and his family over this great loss. 


He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and reward her good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.

Plans Concluded For 5th Nimrod U-20 Football Competition In Hong, Adamawa State

By ELAMEYI JOHNSON, Abuja  Plans have been concluded for the hosting of the fifth edition, Engineer Musa Nimrod Inter Ward U-20 Football Championship in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State. It was reliably gathered that the competition which is organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), Adamawa State Chapter, would feature the best teams from   each of the wards in Hong Local Government Area. Details revealed that the championship will take place simultaneously at the College of Education and Government Secondary School both in Hong.
