New Wambai Of Tudun-Ilu Charged To Exemplify Leadership






Newly appointed Wambai of Tudun-Ilu in Kaduna State, Mallam Aminu Haruna Maipampo, has been urged to set an example in leadership as he assumes his new role.


The charge was given at the weekend in Kaduna by the Village Head of Tudun-Ilu, Alhaji Bala Ilu, shortly after the turbaning ceremony at his palace.

Reflecting on the appointment, the National President of the Northern Youth Council, Comrade Isah Abdulsalam, described Malam Aminu Maipampo as a "square peg in a square hole." 

He commended Maipampo’s long-standing record of humanitarian service, which has earned him admiration across various spheres of society.

The turbaning ceremony was attended by several prominent traditional titleholders, including the Wazirin Tudun-Ilu, Alhaji Hassan Shatima Shehu; the Santuraki of Tudun-Ilu, Alhaji Yahaya Lawal; the Sardaunan Tudun-Ilu, Malam Zakariyau Haruna Bawa; and the Magatakarda Tudun-Ilu, Malam Hamza Abdulkadir. 

Others present were, Turakin Tudun-Ilu, Alhaji Garba Lawal; Dan Masanin Tudun-Ilu, Malam Garba Haruna Babajo; Danmalikin Tudun-Ilu, Malam Ibrahim Haruna Dankofa; Sarkin Samarin Tudun-Ilu, Malam Abubakar Muhammad; and Yariman Tudun-Ilu, Malam Abubakar Bala Ilu.


Malam Aminu Haruna Maipampo was born on September 3, 1986, in Rangaza, Kano State. 

A distinguished academic, he graduated with distinction in Computer Science from Kaduna Polytechnic, where he served as the only elected Student Union Government President for two consecutive sessions. 

He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria.

Maipampo is a respected lecturer and a proud member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). He is married with children.


The title of Wambai is traditionally conferred on a fearless commander and a nobleman of grace. It is a position rooted in humanitarian service, with duties that include rescuing wounded warriors from the battlefield and rehabilitating them.

Malam Aminu Maipampo's appointment is a recognition of his integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service.

Address Irregularities In Our Salaries, JOHESU Appeals To Gov Dauda Lawal

The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) and the Assembly of Healthcare Professionals, Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, have appealed to the Zamfara Government to address irregularities in the salary structure and N30,000 minimum wage implementation. This was contained in a statement issued in Gusau jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, JOHESU branch of the hospital, Sani Rabi’u and Aminu Abdullahi, respectively. The statement said, “We want to start by appreciating Gov.
