Kaduna NNPP Gets New Executive
*New state chairman talks tough ahead 2027
A new executive committee of the New Nigerian People's Party (NNPP) Kaduna State, has emerged.
This followed a compelling judgment of Abia State High Court, Suit No HUZ/11/2024, which compelled INEC to hand over the administration of the party to the Board of Trustees (BOT), led by Dr. Boniface Okechikwu Aniebonam, according to the party’s Constitution 2022 as amended.
A statement signed by the NNPP Kaduna State Publicity Secretary, Babale Gwalo said that the new executive emerged after the Kaduna State Congress of the party held at the Aso Motel, on Thursday January 16, 2025
"We are abiding to directives from the national secretariat of our great party NNPP, which was conveyed in a memo signed by our National Secretary, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday, dated 26th of December, 2024.
"The memo informed that the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) has been notified of the dates and venues of the aforementioned congresses and convention," the statement said.
It explained that a seasoned legal practitioner, Barrister Steve Adamu of Steve Adamu and Associates administered the oath of office on the newly elected state executive.
"In his acceptance speech on behalf of the exco, the new NNPP Kaduna State Chairman, Abubakar Abdullahi, said that they will abide by the manifesto of the party.
"He assured that the party will excel in 2027 general elections in the state and the country," the statement added.
The statement informed that those elected after valid nominations and voice affirmation at the Congress are, State Chairman, Abubakar Abdullahi, Deputy State Chairman, Dennis V.A. Kachiro, State Secretary, Philibus Dauda Ladan and Deputy State Secretary, Com. Usman Abdulhamid.
Others are, three Zonal Vice chairmen, each from the three Senatorial zones, Zone 1, Tukur Zubairu, Zone 2, Ahmad Hassan and Zone 3, James Garba.
Also elected, were, the State Legal Adviser, Kennedy Daniel Tizhe, Deputy State Legal Adviser, Abdullahi Abubakar Kagarko, Treasurer, Tasi’u Ya’u, Deputy State Treasurer, Yakubu Musa, State Financial Secretary, Jacob Mairai Gaiya, Deputy State Financial Secretary, Abdulahi Ahmed, State Organizing Secretary, Ikechi Eze, Deputy State Organizing Secretary, Mohammed Sani, State Publicity Secretary, Babale Gwalo and Deputy State Publicity Secretary, Surajo Ali.
Similarly, State Welfare Secretary, Grace Kasham, Deputy State Welfare Secretary, Engr. Andrew Solomon, State Auditor, Mohammed Bello, State Women Leader, Cecilia Dzingina, Deputy State Women Leader, Maimuna Abubakar, Zonal women Leaders (representing each Senatorial Zone), Zone 1, Naja’atu Labaran, Zone 2, Salima Abdulahi, Zone 3, Akamai Ali, State Youth Leader, Abubakar D. Abdullahi, Deputy State Youth Leader, Esther Yaro and Zonal Youth Leaders (representing each Senatorial Zone), Zone 1, Ismail Bashir, Zone 2, David A. Yayok, Zone 3, Gregory Shamak.
Other positions elected are, State Officer Liaison with corporate bodies, associations, Groups and Unions, Sunday Gwanzuwang, Deputy State Liaison Officer, Com. Fahad Umar, State Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities, Gina Sunday, State Deputy Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities, Blessing Amos, Four ex-officio Zone 1, Salisu Garba, Zone 2, Habibu Musa Danmani, Zone 3, Dodo Jonathan Ayiya and 4, Joyce Jezhi.
