Senator Abdulaziz Yari, a trailblazing political figure from Talata Mafara in Zamfara State, embodies this ethos. Today, as we honor him with the Legislative Gold Star Award for Community Impact, we celebrate not only his achievements but also his enduring dedication to public service.

Senator Yari is a man of influence, resilience, and enduring relevance in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Beyond the corridors of power, Senator Abdulaziz Yari has consistently demonstrated what it means to serve the people. His approach to governance and leadership is deeply rooted in compassion, community development, and a desire to create lasting change.


In November 2023, Senator Yari launched a groundbreaking health initiative that addressed a critical need in Zamfara West Senatorial District. Through this program, over 1,000 patients received free eye treatments and surgeries. For many, this was not just a medical intervention but a life-changing opportunity to regain their vision and improve their quality of life.


Furthermore, Senator Yari’s belief in the transformative power of education is evident in his flagship program, the "Senator A.A. Yari Scholarship Initiative." Launched in June 2024, the initiative has provided scholarships to 1,700 students from underprivileged backgrounds, enabling them to pursue higher education in various Nigerian universities. This bold step is creating a ripple effect, empowering families and laying the foundation for a brighter future in Zamfara and beyond.


Also, Senator Yari’s humanitarian efforts have touched countless lives. In a state often grappling with economic challenges, his interventions have brought hope and relief to many.
• Recently he distributed 145 trailer loads of maize to alleviate food insecurity among his constituents.
• During Eid-El-Fitr celebrations, he provided 358 trailer loads of essential food items, including rice, sugar, millet, maize, and guinea corn, along with 340 cows.
• For Eid-El-Kabir, he further distributed 28 trailer loads of rice, ensuring that families could celebrate the festivities with dignity and joy.

These acts of generosity underline his unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents.


Additionally, in recognizing the vital role of agriculture in the economy of Zamfara State, Senator Yari has championed initiatives to support local farmers. By providing fertilizers and other essential inputs, he has not only boosted agricultural productivity but also helped to ensure food security in the region.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s impact extends beyond his immediate community. As a legislator, his contributions in the Red Chamber have further cemented his reputation as a leader who combines political acumen with a deep understanding of the needs of the people. Newly appointed Wambai of Tudun-Ilu in Kaduna State, Mallam Aminu Haruna Maipampo, has been urged to set an example in leadership as he assumes his new role. The charge was given at the weekend in Kaduna by the Village Head of Tudun-Ilu, Alhaji Bala Ilu, shortly after the turbaning ceremony at his palace. Address Irregularities In Our Salaries, JOHESU Appeals To Gov Dauda Lawal

The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) and the Assembly of Healthcare Professionals, Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau, have appealed to the Zamfara Government to address irregularities in the salary structure and N30,000 minimum wage implementation. This was contained in a statement issued in Gusau jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, JOHESU branch of the hospital, Sani Rabi’u and Aminu Abdullahi, respectively. The statement said, “We want to start by appreciating Gov.
